LeitnerPlus Guide

A quick guide to cards, spaces, and FSRS reviews.

Common first steps
  • Add your first card
  • Review due cards
  • Create another learning space
  • Add tags/categories later
  • Check dashboard for today's review

Quick start

Start with one card

You do not need a perfect system on day one. Create one focused question, write the answer, and review it when LeitnerPlus brings it back.

1

Create or use your General space.

2

Add a question and an answer.

3

Add an image only if it helps.

4

Review the card when it becomes due.

Cards

What is a card?

A card is a small question-and-answer unit. Keep it focused on one idea so it is easy to review later.

Question

What does @Service mean in Spring Boot?

What is a learning space?

A learning space keeps subjects separate. You can use spaces like General, German, English, Java, Interview Prep, or University Exam.

Tip: Start with General, then create more spaces when your cards grow.

What is FSRS?

FSRS is a spaced repetition scheduler. It uses your review rating to estimate when you should see a card again.

If a card is hard, it comes back sooner. If it is easy, it comes back later.

Review ratings

Again, Hard, Good, Easy

Use the rating that best describes how recall felt after you reveal the answer. LeitnerPlus uses that signal to schedule the next review.

Again

I forgot it. Show it again soon.

Hard

I remembered it, but it took effort.

Good

I remembered it correctly.

Easy

I knew it immediately.

How to make good cards

Good cards are small, clear, and easy to judge during review. A little restraint here makes future study sessions much calmer.

Ask one clear question per card.
Keep answers short.
Use images when they add context.
Avoid putting too many facts in one card.
Use tags and categories only when they help you find cards later.
Review regularly instead of cramming everything at once.
Images
Images help with visual memory. Use screenshots, diagrams, notes, or visual clues when they make the idea easier to remember.
Tags and categories
Tags help you group related cards. Categories help you organize larger topics. You can ignore both at first and add them later.
Review history
Review history shows how a card changed over time and helps you understand your learning progress.
